5th Rehearsal

Monday June 25th

After having to send some of the cast home on Sunday,Â Shelly and Vickie both dashed straight from work to the village hall this evening to teach Mark his dance.Â Â Apart from being tired and hungry, everything went well and Mark picked up the routine very quickly (as we knew he would).Â Mark wrote down the moves so that he would remember them when he got home, so itâ€™s now just a matter of practice makes perfectâ€¦.!

4th Rehearsal

Sunday 24^th June

What a disaster! The day started out not so well for us as when we arrived at the rehearsal space the fire alarm was going off due to a storm and the disruption to the power meant it needed resetting! Help! After 5 minutes of beeping it was already driving us insaneâ€¦

So, the rehearsals were relocated to Shellyâ€™s tiny living room, we sent a few of the cast home but there were two scenes we were desperate to rehearse. At least it was warm and we could make a cup of tea! So after moving out all the chairs, we were ready to rehearseâ€¦

As these were two new scenes, we took a few minutes to read through and learn our lines, and then on with the stage direction.

After all the technical difficulties of this rehearsal, it turned out very successful and we managed to learn all our lines perfectly!

See you in a few weeks for our all-cast meetâ€¦.

2nd Rehearsal

Sunday 10^th June

Hello again! This afternoon we were rehearsing Act 1 Scenes 2, 3 and 5 at the Recreation Ground so there was lots to be getting on with! Sophie, Hayley, Olivia, Rose and Nat were all there and got stuck right in, even though it was a really hot and sticky day outside!

Vickie and Shelly were really impressed that everyone had already nearly learnt all their lines. This helped a great deal because it meant the cast were able to concentrate on the stage direction and we were starting to see each scene come alive!

We also spent part of the day adding the final touches to the company logo. This is going on all company material including tickets, posters, the programme and the website so it was important that everyone was happy with it.

Overall the day was another success and things are moving really smoothly (although some of us would argue thatâ€™s not the case behind the scenes!). Letâ€™s hope itâ€™s a sign of things to come!!
